The highly sought-after Jeep Wrangler JL 4-Door Backbone is the newest addition to the Rhino-Rack Backbone range. The RJLB1 system includes an endoskeleton for superior reinforcement of the Jeep Wranglers fibre glass canopy. The RJLB1 is released with optimum functionality bundled with customized focused styling to match the Jeep swagger.

The patented RJLB1 system is a combination of internal and external structural components, designed to integrate seamlessly with the Jeep Wrangler JL’s fiberglass canopy. The load placed onto these castings is distributed into the internal steel frame and into the vehicle’s steel body allowing for an impressive 265lb/120kg load rating. Whilst boasting impressive load carrying capacity, the RJLB1 does not affect the ability to remove the canopy or interfere with the Freedom Panels on those beautiful clear days. With the simple removal of only two additional bolts, the canopy can be removed as usual. Spoilt for choice, the system is compatible with low profile (RCL) or quick release (RLT600) legs to be coupled with either our Pioneer Platforms, Vortex or Heavy Duty bars.

While Function is more important than appearance, we understand both are necessary. By taking styling cues from the Wrangler, the RJLB1 Backbone is designed to integrate seamlessly into the Jeep Wrangler JL. The six heavy duty aluminium castings are specially contoured to match the surface of the roof. While the visible outer hardware utilizes the same iconic T50 head as the factory bolts, found inside and out. Its robust construction and capability is concealed in its subtle external presence. With its solid construction and bold looks creating a striking appearing, this system is guaranteed to both turn heads and stand up to anything you throw at it.

The Rhino-Rack Backbone has been tested to International Standards ISO PAS 11154-2006 Road Roof Load Carriers and Australian Standards AS1235-2000 Road Vehicle Roof Bar Testing.
