SEMA 2016 is just around the corner and Rhino-Rack is excited to share a review of the Rhino-Rack Pioneer Platform and Accessory Range from Justin Tilley who was featured in SEMA 2015! SEMA convention represents the automotive specialty and performance parts industry and is held annually in Las Vegas.

 

Rhino-Rack: What vehicle are you driving?

Rhino-Rack: What accessories have you fitted to the vehicle?
Justin Tilley: Rhino-Rack Pioneer Platform, LED Light Brackets, Rhino-Rack RLT600 Quick Mount Ditch Bracket, Rhino-Rack Pioneer Roller.


Rhino-Rack: What considerations did you take when finding and fitting aftermarket accessories?

Justin Tilley: With the 2015 Chevy Colorado/GMC Canyon being so new to the market, (and to SEMA) I wanted to build a truck that would not only draw attention but also show what kind of functional aftermarket off-road accessories were available to the new platform. First up is storage, it is a must-have for any off-road excursion. You need a way to secure all of the equipment that you need to survive and also that will get you (and your vehicle) out of a bind if and when necessary.

Rhino-Rack: How did you find Rhino-Rack’s range?
Justin Tilley: Like most things, I started searching the internet for the best possible roof rack options. I thought this would be more difficult than it was because the truck was still so new to the market. Luckily, I stumbled upon Rhino-Rack and knew instantly that this was what I was looking for. The amount of accessories that are available for the Pioneer Platform is astounding! This really showed that this is a company that not only listens to their customers but also has experience with driving off the beaten path and getting dirty.

Rhino-Rack: What was your first impression when seeing the products in person?
Justin Tilley: It's one thing to offer so many options, but everyone knows that reliability trumps all. It doesn't do any good to have all of these racks and accessories if they won't even make it to your destination before breaking. That it is not the case with Rhino-Rack!  All of their parts are over-engineered to take abuse and come back for more.

Pioneer Roller

The Pioneer roller is designed to be fitted to the rear of a pioneer platform or elevation. It runs nearly the full width of the tray and provides a roller to assist in loading larger and longer objects. The roller can be fit to new trays or retro-fit to older trays.




RLT600 Quick Mount leg with the Ditch Mount Bracket

The RLT600 leg uses a simple trigger locking system means once you're done utilising the roof space the system can be removed with one hand. The Quick Mount Ditch Bracket provides a permanent mounting point for the bars and legs, which also helps give the system a seamless and esthetically pleasing appearance.

 

Pioneer LED Light Bracket

Made from strong Powder Coated Steel the Pioneer LED Light Bracket fits Rhino-Rack Pioneer Platforms and Elevations.
